Following Tehran’s move on Wednesday EU leaders are now thinking seriously about JCPoA. The nuclear deal is now under threat by recent activities of America and Iran.

On Wednesday in a briefing Hassan Rouhani, president of Iran said,

Iran is not bound to follow any rules under the deal of Nuclear. They are not obliged anymore. He also said the deal was not canceled for their own will. Adding that, if other countries who are under the deal withdraw their names and take steps against Iran, Iran will give them a proper answer as a threat.

In response to that EU leaders do not agree with the ultimatum. They are still in this deal and they don’t want to break anything at all.

French President Emmanuel Macron said, “France stayed in it and will stay in it. And I deeply wish Iran will too. It is up to us to work to convinced everyone and Iran to stay in it.”

One of the main negotiators of Deal Federica Mogherini said, “It’s a matter of security for us and for the entire world. So far we have seen Iran fully compliance with all its nuclear-related commitment.”

Statement by EU, UK, Germany & France

“We strongly urge Iran to continue to implement its commitments under the JCPoA in full as it has done until now. And to refrain from any escalatory steps. We reject any ultimatums”
