Finally Dhoni is joining the Army


During the recently concluded England World Cup, It was heard that Dhoni, the former captain of India, was on his way to retiring from cricket. But no announcement came about from the board or any party from Dhoni. At the end of the World Cup, all the teams have been announced their squads with a rough schedule.

Many have assumed that Dhoni was not named in the team for India’s forthcoming West Indies tour and thought that Dhoni would retire and join to the Indian Army. Finally, it is known that he is joining the army but he hasn’t retire yet.

The former Indian captain will serve in the army for his country for the next two months. Before, in 2012, he was awarded the Colonel of the Army. He is one of the greatest captains to ever win the World Cup. From the beginning, he was keen on joining the Army. Now that desire is going to be fulfilled.

A senior Indian cricket board member confirmed that he would join the Army who is a big superstar in ODI’s. “Dhoni is not retiring from cricket right now,” he said, adding that he will remain in the Indian Army’s Paramilitary Regiment for two months. For this reason, he had earlier refrained from announcing himself for the West Indies tour.

The legendary player informed the board of directors that he did not want himself to be in the series starting on August 3rd. Note that Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014.
